Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to physicians immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient status accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of compassion, empathy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
