Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds and wheelchairs safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents and patients.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Document all care activities and observations into electronic health records (EHR).
- Support the nursing staff with meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (or eligibility to obtain).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patience, empathy, and compassion.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred but not required for entry-level applicants.
