Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues by using walkers, wheelchairs, or transferring them to beds or chairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in medical records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or willingness to obtain one through our training program).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong compassion and desire to help others in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
