Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and patient mobility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program.
