Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to update care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred but can be obtained during training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
