Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report any changes or abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and intake/output accurately in electronic medical records.
- Transport patients to and from different departments or testing areas safely.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (or enrollment in an accredited CNA program with expected graduation date).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- A genuine passion for patient care and a compassionate attitude.
