Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual patient needs.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient progress and concerns.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties in patient rooms to maintain a clean and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Arizona.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
