Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of registered nurses.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Washington or New York.
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of a state-approved CNA program is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
