Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and concerns to RNs and LPNs to ensure continuity of care.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Documentation: Complete accurate documentation and charting in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid State of Nebraska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assistance as needed.
- Compassion: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
