Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding according to dietary restrictions and physician orders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and residents.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods as required.
