Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) accurately and report significant changes to nursing staff.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
- Assist registered nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and specimen collection as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Document patient care services accurately in electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA Certification (CNA1/CNA2) required.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) must be maintained.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
