Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and response to interventions, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a positive attitude.
