Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as per patient dietary needs.
- Move patients safely using transfer equipment and proper body mechanics.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (or equivalent life experience).
- Strong desire to enter the healthcare field and provide excellent patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (training available).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
