Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and concerns.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently as required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
