Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and positioning safely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
