Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with eating when necessary.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN, following strict safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
