Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with treatment plans, wound care, and feeding assistance.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) promptly and accurately.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and alarms to ensure safety and comfort.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
