Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist registered nurses and physicians with treatment plans, wound care, and feeding assistance.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and visitors at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding changes in patient condition.
  • Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) promptly and accurately.
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and alarms to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
