Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and assessment during weekend shifts.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
