Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and physician orders.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient progress and vital signs, documenting all clinical findings and changes in condition accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment, strictly following infection control procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee (or compact state eligibility).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for specialized units.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume healthcare setting.
