Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous experience preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records (EHR).
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
