Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following sanitation protocols.
- Communicate patient status and changes effectively to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the licensed nurse.
- Participate in patient care planning and accurate documentation of care provided.
Qualifications
- Valid California State CNA Certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a clinical or home health setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
