Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility, including transferring patients between beds and wheelchairs.
- Prepare patients for medical procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care activities and daily updates accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and assist with emergency situations as directed by charge nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Valid state ID and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
