Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics to ensure safety for both patient and staff.
  • Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare team immediately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and maintaining privacy.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities and daily progress notes in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting preferred.
