Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics to ensure safety for both patient and staff.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare team immediately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and maintaining privacy.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and daily progress notes in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
