Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and account for all surgical instruments, sponges, and needles before/after procedures
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and provide post-operative care support
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain instrument inventory
- Document surgical activities and equipment usage in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure seamless procedure workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience in hospital setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Must be available to start work immediately upon hire
