Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Turn, reposition, and comfort bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (must be current and in good standing).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
