Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking within the facility.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current, active Louisiana CNA certification (LSBN) is required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift and assist patients.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
