Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by following sanitation and safety protocols.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nebraska.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
