Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and behavior.
- Assisted Living Support: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Care Planning: Work closely with the nursing staff to implement and document individualized care plans.
- Medication Management: Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the licensed nurse, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and residents.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid North Carolina CNA license.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Attitude: Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a positive attitude.
