Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Assist nurses with procedures and document patient care activities accurately.
- Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas CNA License (HCP License).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
- High school diploma or GED required.
