Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Procedures: Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures, and provide safe transport within the facility.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status, changes in condition, and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure the patient environment is clean, safe, and comfortable at all times.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in compliance with facility standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Colorado required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and proper body mechanics for patient lifting and transferring.
- Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and advocacy.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as necessary.
