Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare team members on care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while preserving dignity
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in a clinical setting
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans precisely
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
