Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with Daily Living: Help patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to ensure their daily needs are met.
- Provide Comfort: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, alleviating anxiety and loneliness.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records regarding care provided and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with registered nurses and other healthcare staff to ensure cohesive patient care plans.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict infection control and safety regulations to protect both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active Colorado State CNA certification (CNA1/CNA2) required.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered CNA license in good standing.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hire candidates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and transfer patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
