Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Support nutritional needs by assisting with meals and hydration
- Observe patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain clean, safe environments following infection control protocols
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No prior healthcare experience required
- Ability to obtain Massachusetts CNA certification (training provided)
- Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Must pass background check and pre-employment health screening
