Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Communicate patient status changes and care updates effectively to Registered Nurses (RN) and healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment and equipment.
- Administer medication as directed by nursing staff and document administration.
- Build rapport with patients and families to ensure a positive care experience.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Massachusetts required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
