Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and patients' families regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a home health or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Raleigh area.
