Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families to update them on patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to prevent infections and accidents.
- Assist with feeding and administering medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Texas.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform manual tasks.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
