Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient examinations and treatments.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition, behavior, or response to treatment to the nursing staff immediately.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers safely.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Kentucky CNA certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
