Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
  • Assist nurses and physicians with patient examinations and treatments.
  • Report any changes in a patient's condition, behavior, or response to treatment to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers safely.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid State of Kentucky CNA certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
