Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic information, and escort them to examination rooms.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Assistance: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies; assist providers during patient exams.
- Admin Support: Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and handle phone inquiries professionally.
- Specimen Collection: Collect non-invasive specimens for lab testing as directed by the provider.
- Documentation: Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and medical charts.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new medical software quickly.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
