Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and report any significant changes to the charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, adhering to all infection control protocols and healthcare regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, wheelchairs, or stretchers as needed.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods; physical stamina is required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
