Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking as needed.
- Communication: Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and in a safe environment.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and intake/output in medical records.
Qualifications
- Education: Current CNA certification or licensure required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, and assist patients of varying weights.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for patient care and a positive attitude.
