Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions closely and report any changes or emergencies to the healthcare team immediately.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Maryland.
- BSN degree preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS or CEN preferred depending on unit.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
