Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Implement and document individualized care plans under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment to promote patient health and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs and updates.
- Follow all infection control protocols and facility policies and procedures strictly.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Nebraska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A genuine passion for patient advocacy and a caring demeanor.
