Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients move safely from beds to wheelchairs or walkers, and assist with walking as needed.
- Hydration & Nutrition: Ensure patients are well-hydrated and fed according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Communication: Relay important information regarding patient behavior and condition to the RN or Charge Nurse.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. CNA Certification preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Experience: No prior healthcare experience required. Previous caregiver or customer service experience is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write clearly.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to help patients and work in a team-oriented environment.
- License: Valid state-issued CNA license (if available) or eligibility to obtain one.
