Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Transport patients safely to and from treatment areas or medical equipment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
- Assist the nursing staff with wound care and basic medical procedures as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Pennsylvania.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred but open to training immediate hires.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, adhering to body mechanics protocols.
- Basic computer literacy for navigating electronic health records (EHR) systems.
