Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues and transfer them safely to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient activities, behaviors, and health conditions accurately in electronic medical records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered state CNA license.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (home health, hospital, or nursing home) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
