Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with health regulations.
- Communicate patient status changes, symptoms, and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California CNA License.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association).
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
