Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretcher beds.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Document daily care activities and shift reports accurately into electronic medical records (EMR).

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of Kansas.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
