Responsibilities
- Assist patients with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting) using dignity-focused techniques
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions
- Administer medications under RN supervision per facility protocols
- Respond to emergency situations with calm, efficient action
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk 8+ hours
- Exceptional communication and observational skills
- Proficient with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
