Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Hygiene: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and ambulate patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as required.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and changes in condition to the nursing staff and healthcare team members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, logs, and shift reports in compliance with hospital policies.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- License: Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Arizona.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, patient-centered care with empathy and patience.
