Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) during the night shift.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and patients' families regarding patient status and concerns.
- Respond immediately to patient emergencies and assist with code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Colorado required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia recognition certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Clean criminal background check and drug screening required.
